Easy to use for meetings

Needed a way to keep track of my Google Meet calls without writing everything down. Claap just hooked right up, no fuss. The Meeting Recorder started doing its thing automatically. The call transcriptions are pretty accurate, which was nice. It just made things easier, honestly. No complaints, it did what I needed.

Reliable recording and summaries

I've been using Claap for a while now for our sales team. This last purchase was just adding more seats to our Team Workspaces. The process was as smooth as previous times. It's consistently reliable for recording client calls and getting those quick AI Summaries. I find the CRM Integration with Salesforce works well, and the Automated Follow-ups are a real time-saver. It just does what it promises, every time. That's why we keep coming back.

Got the annual plan for savings

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the best deal. I signed up for the 14-day free trial to test out the AI Sales Agent and Meeting Recorder features. After seeing how useful it was, I decided to go for the annual plan to get the 20% off. The checkout process was clear about the savings, which was great. It felt like good value for money, especially compared to some competitors I looked at. The ability to record meetings and get quick summaries without manually taking notes saves me a lot of time. Definitely felt like a worthwhile purchase for the price I paid.

Good for team collaboration

I purchased the Team Workspaces feature and integrated it with our existing Slack setup. The ordering process was straightforward on their website; I opted for the annual billing to get the 20% discount. Delivery wasn't really applicable since it's a software service, but access was instant. Setting up the workspaces for my team was intuitive, and inviting members worked without a hitch. The Meeting Recorder and AI Summaries have been particularly useful for async updates, cutting down on follow-up emails. I did have a question about customizing AI Workflows, and their support team responded within a few hours with a clear explanation. Quality of the transcriptions is decent, not perfect, but good enough for getting the gist of meetings. Usability is high, the interface feels clean and modern. My one minor gripe is that sometimes the AI summaries miss a key detail, requiring me to review the full transcript, but it's still a time-saver overall.

Just got hit with the renewal notice for Claap Pro, and it's higher than I expected. Anyone had any luck negotiating or finding a discount for annual plans after the first year?

M MeenaR 8 hours ago ✓ Best Answer
I actually got a small discount by committing to two years instead of one. It wasn't advertised, but I asked and they offered it. Might be worth a shot if you plan on sticking with them.

What kind of discount did you get?

D Deepak91 7 hours ago
Oh, that's smart! I'll definitely ask about that. Thanks for the tip!

Not sure about renewal, but I remember seeing something about a startup program discount when I first signed up. Maybe check if you qualify for that or a non-profit discount if applicable?

R RaviK 8 hours ago
Same here! My renewal for the Pro plan went up about 15%. I tried talking to support, but they just said the intro offer was over. Didn't push too hard though.

Bummer. I was hoping there might be some loyalty discount or something.

Anyone get a Claap student discount recently?

C CodeCadet 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, I got one. Had to email their support with my student ID. Took a few days but they hooked it up.

Yeah, the free one is pretty decent for basics.

Didn't work for me, they said it was only for certain universities or something.

Thinking of moving our team from another meeting recorder to Claap. Anyone got experience with their CRM integration, specifically Salesforce?

P PriyaS 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
We've been using Claap with Salesforce for about 6 months now. It's pretty solid, automatically logs the meeting notes and transcripts to the relevant opportunities. Saves my reps a ton of time on manual entry.

R RahulK 3 weeks ago
Does it pull in data from Salesforce too, like account details for context?
8
P PriyaS 3 weeks ago
Yeah, it does a decent job with CRM enrichment. We linked it up and it usually populates speaker names and roles if they're in SFDC.

Following this. We're on HubSpot, but interested in how robust their integrations are generally.

We just started with Claap a couple of weeks ago. The Salesforce integration was actually one of the main reasons we picked it. So far so good, but it's early days. The automated follow-ups feature is pretty neat too.

Not really, their documentation was clear. Had one small hiccup with permissions but support sorted it out quickly.

Hey, I'm a student and looking to use Claap for some project work. Any chance of a student discount?

N Noor 1 month ago
Yep, they do have a student discount! Check their site, there's usually info on how to apply for it. Good luck with your project!

I think I remember seeing something about a student program. It's not a huge amount off, but every little bit helps, right?

Does Claap actually integrate well with Salesforce? Like, does it automatically update records or is it more manual?

S Shane 2 months ago
It integrates pretty smoothly! I have it set up to push meeting summaries and key insights directly into Salesforce. Saves a ton of time on data entry.

T Todd 2 months ago
Mine updates contacts and deals automatically after calls. You still gotta set it up right, but once it's done, it's pretty hands-off.

Thinking of trying Claap for my sales team. How does it stack up against Gong or Chorus? Is it actually better?

A Alex 1 month ago
I've used both Claap and Gong. Claap's AI summaries are pretty good, and the collaboration features are smoother IMO. Gong felt a bit clunkier for day-to-day use.
3
N Nick 1 month ago
Honestly, 'better' depends on what you need. Claap is great for the async video updates and sharing snippets. If you're super deep into just call analytics, Gong might have a slight edge there, but Claap is catching up fast.

Is there usually a Black Friday deal for Claap, or should I just go for the annual discount now?

D Dana C. 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually do something around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I snagged a pretty sweet deal last year, so might be worth waiting a bit if you're not in a huge rush.
3
B Brett Whitfield 2 months ago
They offer 20% off for annual plans normally. The Black Friday deals can sometimes be a bit more, but it's not always a massive difference from the annual savings, afaik.
